Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-11-05

Popsona provides the Popsona app. This page explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and what choices you have. By using Popsona you agree to the practices described here.

No Account, No Personal Profile

Popsona does not ask you to create an account. You never provide your name, email address, phone number, birthday, or any other personal detail to use the app. Instead, the app generates an anonymous device identifier on first launch and keeps it in your system secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore). It is a random value, it is not linked to your real identity, and it is not sold or shared with advertisers.

Information We Collect

Anonymous device ID — used to link your creations to your device, to let you manage what you have shared, and to apply moderation decisions.

Content you choose to share — when you publish a character or comic to the community, that content is uploaded to our servers together with your anonymous device ID. Creations you do not share stay on your device and are not uploaded.

Purchase records — when you buy a subscription, the store receipt issued by Apple or Google is sent to our server so we can confirm it is genuine. We never receive or store your card number or billing details; payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Diagnostics and usage data — Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports (such as device model, operating system version, app version, and error logs) so we can find and fix problems.

Optional rewarded-ad data — when you choose to watch an advertisement to unlock a resource, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may process information such as your IP address, device and app information, advertising identifiers when available, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Popsona requests non-personalized ads and does not send its own anonymous device ID to AdMob.

Third-Party Services

Optional Meta ad measurement — if you allow ad measurement, the Meta App Events SDK processes app launches, selected creation actions (opening the character editor, customizing and saving a character, opening Studio, saving a story, saving to your album and choosing a share action), device and app information, network information such as IP address, SDK-generated identifiers and available device advertising identifiers to measure Facebook and Instagram advertising. On iOS this also requires App Tracking Transparency permission. We do not send Meta your characters, images, dialogue, names, our own anonymous device ID or purchase receipts. Automatic purchase logging, automatic screen/URL metadata collection and product-improvement logging are disabled. We configure event usage to be limited to measurement rather than audience targeting. You can decline without losing features and turn measurement off in Settings → Ad measurement. Turning it off stops new measurement events from Popsona; it does not erase data already sent to Meta. Meta handles requests about data it has received under its own privacy policy.

The app uses the following third-party services, which have their own privacy policies:

Google Play Services

Google Analytics for Firebase

Firebase Crashlytics

Google AdMob

Meta Privacy Policy

Advertisements are optional rewarded ads: you choose whether to watch one in exchange for permanently unlocking a resource. Premium members can use all premium resources without watching ads. We configure ad requests as non-personalized and limit ad content to Google's general-audience rating.

Log Data

When an error occurs in the app, we collect diagnostic information through the third-party services listed above. This may include your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, the time and date of use, and similar statistics.

Security

We value your trust and use commercially acceptable means to protect the information we handle. Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to Other Sites

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click a third-party link you will be directed to that site. We do not operate those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so we encourage you to review their policies.

Children's Privacy

Popsona is built to be family-friendly. We do not require, and do not knowingly collect, personal information from children. There are no public user profiles, no private messaging between users, and nowhere in the app to enter personal details. All content shared to the community is reviewed by a person before it becomes visible to anyone else, and any user can report content or block a creator from inside the app. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices

You can turn off optional Meta ad measurement in Settings. To request deletion of data held by Popsona, contact lihentian01@gmail.com. We will verify the request and remove data associated with your device where applicable. Requests about data already received by Meta can be made through Meta's privacy controls.

You can review and delete anything you have shared from "My Shares" inside the app, and you can block creators whose content you do not want to see. Deleting the app removes the creations stored on your device.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
